Australian National Eisteddfod
The Australian National Eisteddfod runs annual performance festivals/competitions for individuals performers and groups in the following areas: Bands & Orchestras, Choirs, Singing, Piano, Speech & Drama, and Instrumental/Composition. Participants perform in front of audiences, and gain detailed feedback from an accomplished adjudicator which helps further their development.
The Eisteddfod’s mission is to “promote participation in the performing arts”. It actively encourages an inclusive environment that fosters the growth of confidence and self-esteem in performers of all levels and ages. The majority of participants are children and young adults.
The Australian National Eisteddfod is a registered non-profit community organisation and has a long history in Canberra, having first been held in 1938. Each year over 4,000 individuals perform in Australian National Eisteddfod events.
