  • PRESENTER: Ainslie and Gorman
  • WHEN: 5 May 2021 - 7 June 2021

Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres is excited to call for applications to the Kids x Art Residency Program in 2021. Running from July – December 2021, the residency offers an ACT based (or connected) artist the opportunity to develop or extend their practice in creating compelling and enriching contemporary arts engagement opportunities for children and their families. Access to and participation in arts and culture is a human right, and a vital part of children’s wellbeing.

As our resident you will have your own working space and work closely with our Creative Producer team on project planning, support an for the duration of the program. You also receive a stipend as payment for your time in this project and have access to our Marketing team who can provide support for advertising if you take up an opportunity for a public outcome.

The program is open to artists (experienced and emerging) from all disciplines including visual art, craft, performance, music, writing, film, new media, emergent artforms and inter-disciplinary practice. We highly recommend artists who identify as LGBTIQ+, have had lived experience of disability or mental health issues, are under the age of 25 or from a culturally or linguistically diverse background to apply.
