Ainslie Arts Centre
With large halls, break-out classrooms and spacious grounds, the Ainslie Arts Centre is ideal for conferences. The Ainslie Main Hall, located in the south wing of the centre, can seat up to 235 delegates in lecture-theatre style. The Main Hall is a versatile space that can be re-arranged to suit presentations, lectures, plenary sessions, forums and panel discussions.
The Reception Hall is a bright, flexible space connecting the two heritage wings of the Ainslie Arts Centre. A separate foyer adjoining the space is ideal for event registration, or pre- and post-event canapés and drinks. Opening out onto an internal courtyard to the rear of the space, the Reception Hall can seat 100 delegates in lecture style or can be rearranged to suit your needs.
Ainslie Arts Centre has a selection of classrooms that are ideal for use as break-out spaces for smaller groups of delegates.
Gorman Arts Centre
The Gorman Main Hall is a large, well-lit space located in the heart of Gorman Arts Centre. Able to accommodate 70 guests in lecture-theatre style seating, or a standing function for approximately 100 guests, the Gorman Main Hall offers contemporary facilities in a heritage environment.
The Main Hall opens directly onto two large courtyards with covered walkways that can also be hired for events, or used as quiet and tranquil break-out spaces.
Gorman Arts Centre also has a range of other special venues, including three black-box theatres, a boardroom available to hire, a seminar room, a dance studio and a large contemporary art space. While these spaces are typically used by our resident organisations and arts programs, they may be available from time-to-time to accommodate large-scale events.

“What was particularly amazing for us as organisers was having access to a variety of spaces: from the reception in CCAS on Thursday night to the use of the CYT theatre for the masterclass, with writers spilling out into the courtyards, and then being able to relax at the end of the day in an intimate bar setting.” – Event organiser, ACT Writers Centre, 2014.
