Madeleine Gisz

Madeleine is a violin restorer and cellist. She takes a holistic approach to her work, considering the interrelation of the various parameters that will effect the sound of the instrument at hand. Of greatest concern is the comfort of the musician and Madeleine considers every detail that may effect the musician’s experience. She has an excellent ear which is put to good use in sound adjustments with players. Madeleine specializes in complex restorations and is happy to discuss a restoration project with you. Madeleine trained at the Ecole National de Lutherie in Mirecourt, France, and worked in Paris, London, Berlin, Nancy and Helsinki.
