Up-Close at Gorman

  • VENUE: Gorman Arts Centre
  • WHEN: 11am to 3pm
    7 May 2019

Canberra International Music Festival’s 25th season is set to take over Canberra for the first two weeks of May, and the Ainslie and Gorman Art Centres are proud to be hosting one of the many spectacular events planned for 2019.

Up-Close at Gorman is the festival’s most intimate experience: a chain of short exclusive performances for small groups. This is your chance to hear the festival artists from close-up and see how they relate to the space, their instrument, and you as listener. Canberra’s historic Gorman House precinct and its myriad spaces of galleries and studios form the setting for this event with award-winning Sage restaurant is open for lunch and evening dining.

Each chain starts at 15 minute intervals and takes 75 to 80 minutes to complete. The experience is designed for a maximum 20 people.

Chain I:  11am – 12.20pm
Chain II: 11.15am – 12.35pm
Chain III: 11.30am – 12.50pm
Chain IV: 11.45am – 1.05pm
Chain V: 12pm – 1.20pm
