Enter the raucous, radical, wildly funny world of Queerstories and enjoy an unexpected tale or two from a diverse line-up of stars and strangers. Winner Best Spoken Word Sydney Fringe 2016, and fast becoming an institution in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, this critically acclaimed sell-out storytelling night is coming to Canberra for one night only. The LGBTQI+ community has been sharing stories for centuries, creating histories, disrupting conventional ideas about family, love and community. There’s more to being queer than coming out and getting married! Join some of Australia’s best storytellers for an evening of reflections on lives well lived and battles fought, pride, prejudice, love and humour. The night will also launch the new Queerstories book, published by Hachette Australia and edited by host and curator Maeve Marsden.
