Live Art Lab: A Creative Development Program
- WHEN: 12am to 12am
2 March 2020 - 30 November 2020
The Live Art Lab is a development residency program at Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres (A+G) that supports ACT based or connected artists in the development of original works that can be described as ‘live art’: defined as when an artist chooses to make work directly in front of the audience in space and time.
Running from March – November 2020, the program will offer creative development opportunities for up to three artists/group collaborations for ACT-based or connected artists. With in-kind support, mentoring and artist fees, this program will connects artists to our creative community and provides access to spaces, creative input from practicing Arts professionals and the chance to develop those wild ideas.
Artists who practice across theatre, dance, physical theatre and circus, performance art, literature, music, film, and visual arts and design or who have a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary arts practice are encouraged to be part of this program.
LGBTIQ+ artists, artists identifying with having a disability, artists from a linguistically diverse background, artist who are parents of young children, or First Nations artists are particularly encouraged to be a part of this program.
Update: we will be continuing with assessment of the applications received for this program and hope to advise applicants of the outcomes in the next few weeks. We are also currently working to determine how and when we deliver this program in a way which ensures the safety of our staff and artists. Please email email@example.com if you have any questions
