Kids x Art Residency

  • PRESENTER: Ainslie and Gorman
  • WHEN: 12am to 12am
    24 January 2020 - 24 February 2020

Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres is excited to call for applications for our inaugural Kids x Art Residency that will take place across 10 months in 2020. This paid residency offers an ACT-based or connected artist the opportunity to develop or extend their practice in working with children and their families.

We want to change the way we think about kids, they aren’t just waiting around to be adults, they have their own thing going on. So we are letting go of age limits, and looking for a resident artist to develop arts engagement opportunities for children and their families during their time here at Ainslie and Gorman.

As our resident you will have your own working space and work closely with our Creative Producer team on project planning, support an for the duration of the program. You also receive a small stipend as payment for your time in this project and have access to our Marketing team who can provide support for advertising if you take up an opportunity for a public outcome.

We highly recommend artists who identify as LGBTIQ+, have had lived experience of disability or mental health issues, are under the age of 25 or from a culturally or linguistically diverse background to apply.
