For the June Artists Toolkit workshop, join Sydney based artist and facilitator Clare Cooper, who will present her concepts and methods of ‘futuring’ to flesh out some of the possible co-mingled potential outcomes in an Australia that values the arts. This workshop will make visible some of the forces that are shaping networks and platforms as well as practices, research and work over the next 5-10 years. These conversations will form practical ideas about how as a community we can support each other to bring about more equitable futures in the arts and beyond.

This workshop is primarily for ACT based artists from all disciplines and career stages. We particularly welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, and artists who identify as disabled, LGBTIQ+, from migrant/refugee backgrounds or are under 25.

Clare M. Cooper is an artist, designer and educator living on Gadigal land. She’s passionate about the sociability of art and its capacity to encourage compassion and radical acts of trust. She gets things started including the Design Activism Workshop, and Frontyard: a non-institutional space on Gadigal land experimenting with community futuring and skill-sharing.

This is a FREE workshop but there are limited places available so please register your interest using this form link: https://forms.gle/Mi2xDZjPDE7CFScy5

We will email all confirmed participants of their place by Tuesday 16 June. This workshop will be facilitated using the miro collaborative whiteboard platform and will be recorded for archival access post-session.

The Artists Toolkit program is supported by ArtsACT through this Community Outreach (Capacity building) Grant.
