Zsuzsi Soboslay, a theatre-maker and community artist, will create a participatory theatre event on the theme of thresholds and transitions. Her work has involved several years of research on the refugee condition.
Development time includes working with some of Canberra’s refugee community, and in a series of professional workshops, giving performing artists and musicians’ skills in reciprocation and exchange.
The project, modelled on the medieval ‘Everyman’ and Mystery plays, will create a magical event where people can move through stations of experience, swap stories and roles, or just listen and rethink our relationship with transitions, home, homelessness, and change.
Project director: Zsuzsi Soboslay
Season: 2 – 4 November
