Ralph Indie 2017 – applications now open!

Thursday, 15 December 2016

After a sold-out season of Ralph Indie in 2016, we’re calling for applications for artists to participate in the 2017 program!

Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres’ Ralph Indie program supports the development and presentation of new performance works. Artists will be afforded the space and time needed to experiment and play with bold and brave artistic ideas. Successful applicants will receive financial support, access to space, mentorship, peer discussion, and work-in-progress showings, culminating in a public performance in the Ralph Wilson Theatre at Gorman Arts Centre.

We’re looking for artists who have ambitious ideas, who are problem solvers, approach challenges with a sense of adventure and are interested in a collaborative relationship with Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres. Artists from all disciplines across the performing arts are encouraged to apply.

“Time and space are fundamental to creating new work. All too often artists are expected to arrive with a finished product already in hand, or expected to solve problems of creative development in isolation. The Ralph Indie program allows artists to develop and present their work in a genuinely supportive environment.”
– Joseph Falsone, Director, Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres.

Applications close 29 January, 2017.
